Emily Gerhardstein and Rob Norin of NYC were married at Hidden River Events in Swannanoa on September 14, 2013. Emily's inspiration was the Great Gatsby and she "wanted to create something that was elegant yet fitting for the outdoors since the sunset, horses, and mountains" provided the backdrop for their wedding. Emily and Rob and their artistic friends and family created many of the wedding items and decorations for their wedding. Emily collaborated with her friend Dena Nance of whats-in-store.com in designing all the bridesmaids, flowergirls, and mother of the bride and groom's jewelry. Emily and Rob made groomsmen pocket watch favors. Emily made her 2nd piece headpiece, flower girl circlets, and bullet boutonnieres for the guys in the wedding party. Mary Bell of Mary Bell Events and Grace Gilles of Hidden River Events worked together as Emily and Rob's wedding coordinators and planners. Erin Richie (bridesmaid) made their dog Remy's cape. Laura Schoenthaler and Jonathon Sanders made the photobooth by hand. Emily's mom made the ring bearer pillow and weaved the flower girl baskets. I want to thank John Fletcher for being my 2nd shooter. Flowers were provided by Flower Gallery of Asheville, wedding cake was by Dough, and catering by Dough. Emily's hair was done by Dee Dee at Bella Chic Salon. And I wanted to share this great testimonial from Emily: "Grace told us about you and I knew that we liked you as soon as we met you and saw your portfolio. Great calm easy personality and Rob really liked how you captured key moments in your photos. I have gotten many compliments on how well you did during the wedding and now since we saw the pics everyone is very happy."
